Approval Workflow (Aware Portal Settings)
The Approval Workflow section is used to control whether approval is required before public-facing content can be published.
Approvers are not configured within the Approval Workflow settings. Approval capability is provided through the Aware Approver role. The role can be assigned directly to individual users or through groups, with group-based role assignment recommended whenever possible.
Select Configure to open the Approval Flow screen.
Approval Flow Screen
The Approval Flow screen is used to enable or disable the approval requirement for public-facing content.
The screen includes a Require Approval toggle:
- Enabled: Content must go through the approval process before it can be published.
- Disabled: Approval is not required before content is published by users with the appropriate publishing permissions.
Configuring the Approval Requirement
To configure the approval workflow:
- Open Aware Portal Settings.
- In the Approval Workflow section, select Configure.
- Turn Require Approval on or off as appropriate.
